Temporary Display is a temporary reconversion of Netwerk’s main gallery space. The installation exposes how the illusion of the video images was created. These images are projected in a 'view point', which visitors can enter. Inside they can observe life-size video images projected on a screen / window dsiplay of the construction and de-construction of a wooden passage way at the foot of the Niagara Falls. In reality this process repeats itself on a yearly basis, but in the film it is reduced to the moment the one activity transcends into the other; the building becomes the tearing down and vice versa.
